Translating Algebraic Expressions Matching Activity by Mrs. Kaley Lyons Simply cut out the phrases, and have your students match the algebraic expressions to the correct verbal expressions. Minute Math is a great way to get your students excited about multiplication and division. Instructions: Start all your students on the first multiplication sheet (0,1,2). Have them start with the paper upside down so they can't cheat, and when you say "go" they can start. Give them 1 minute to answer as many as they can. If they make it to the last row they have mastered 0,1,2's, and they can move on to the 3's. If your students jump around, they can't miss more than 8 to master that number

This is a great way to engage students in practicing how to reflect points on a coordinate plane. The will work in pairs (or by themselves) and draw from a deck of cards to create ordered pairs. Black cards represent positive numbers, and red represents negative numbers. Each ordered pair will be reflected over the x-axis and y-axis.
