I've had great success with motivating students to complete their work regularly using this behavior chart. The download is a Word document, so you can change the times and the subjects. I let the student choose what reward they are working towards, and I individualize how many happy face they need to earn. Hope you find this helpful!

This set includes a story problem for each addition and subtraction thinking pattern according to CGI (Cognitively Guided Instruction). Print out the packet and cut the cards apart. Then, students will read the story problems and match them with the corresponding number line, equation, part part whole mat, and triangle/fact family card. This printable is designed to create a fact wheel that shows the main stages in the life cycle of a fish. Just print one copy of each printable, and cut out the circles. Then, fasten them together with a brad in the center, and turn! Have students talk about the stages as they turn the wheel.
