Students LOVE food...and food is (fortunately!) an important part of the culture of France! In particular, the French are known for wines, pastries and cheeses. Teaching style

Very student-centered. I believe that the students need to be doing more work than I do! I love doing units using the simulation globale method with my upper-level students and getting lower-level students excited about the link between communication and culture. I am passionate about broadening students horizons through the study of other languages and other cultures and I believe that is reflected in my classroom.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Member, AATF Chicago/Northern Illinois Chapter Executive Board; Recipient, AATF Bourse to summer program at Université de Montréal; Pi Delta Phi, National French Honor Society

My own education history

BA English and French, St. Olaf College; MEd Teaching and Learning, DePaul University; Certificat de FLE, Universté de Montréal
