This project is something I do during our very first unit in 6th grade, which is the Number System for us. There are 3 different levels included to use with gifted to low students. You can edit as needed as well. The students create a poster or book answering the questions listed for their level. This is an activity that aligns with the sixth grade common core standards dealing with proportions and ratios. These are story problems that relate to Alice and Wonderland and her eat me cakes and drink me drinks. All questions require proportions to show equivalant ratios and to find missing answers. Included with this activity, I have added a few extras I do to make it more fun!

This is the same style as my other pirate day activity, except all the riddles and clues deal with proportions. I use this activity as a scavenger hunt throughout the school. It is completely editable for your own name or special needs around your school. You can change up the riddles if needed. I use these after I do my test analysis and find my students weaknesses. I give them a practice packet on their standard they struggled with and then give them a 10 pt. "quiz" on that concept to see if they have mastered it. These all could be used as homework or 10 point quizzes. There is one for each standard for the Number System Domain. These are all aligned to the Common Core.
