I use these after I do my test analysis and find my students weaknesses. I give them a practice packet on their standard they struggled with and then give them a 10 pt. "quiz" on that concept to see if they have mastered it. These all could be used as homework or 10 point quizzes. There is one for each standard for the Number System Domain. About the store

Experience

This will be my 20th year as a teacher. I have taught grades 4-6 primarily. My focus has been on fifth and sixth grade math and reading. I am a gifted intervention specialist and regular gen ed classroom teacher.

Teaching style

I have very high expectations for my students and implement those through challenging and rigorous tasks that align with the common core. I am very hands on and focus on interactive ideas in my classroom. I integrate 21st century skills as much as possible in order to help my students learn!

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have been nominated 3 years for Barnes and Noble Teacher of the Year award by past students, which has been a great honor as well as Ohio Teacher of the Year.

My own education history

I graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Grades Math, Reading and Language Arts. I then obtained my Master's Degree from Bowling Green State University in Gifted Education. I also have my endorsement in Social Studies and Science and just finished my Doctorate in k-12 leadership.

I have been in the same school district for 18 years now and love my job! I have 2 wonderful children and a great husband that support my career!
