This project is something I do during our very first unit in 6th grade, which is the Number System for us. There are 3 different levels included to use with gifted to low students. You can edit as needed as well. The students create a poster or book answering the questions listed for their level. Each question has a specific standard that is addressed in order to show their answer. The project includes how I use it, my introduction to the students, and the 3 levels of complexity as well as

This can be a cumulative activity for the end of a unit, can be used as small project assessments throughout the unit, or can be used as an independent or enrichment study for the entire Algebra unit. The activities are higher level application activities so they are geared as enrichment or to provide rigor to the normal curriculum. There is one activity for each standard in the algebra unit. On each task there is a checklist for students to check off as they complete each thing on the task.

I use this product with the game Jenga (or a tumbling towers game). This could also be used as a review worksheet or even an assessment. This could be used in a center or in groups as well. My students absolutely love when we do this review for any test or concept. The product includes 48 review problems over integers, absolute value and rational numbers, as well as additional problems if needed. It also includes an answer key for review or grading purposes. This is a scavenger hunt using QR Codes based on decimal operations. The students scan the QR code and read the word problem. They solve the word problem and find the answer around the room, which will lead them to scan another problem.
