This is a project that can be split into two homework assignments or for student pairs to complete in class. The students are to come up with a hypothetical store with hypothetical merchandise. They then calculate the markup over their purchase cost to get the regular sale price. They then create a special sale for their store and discount their items. Lastly, they compare their prices with a similar store "down the street".

This can be used as an anchor chart or handout when learning long division. As usual, this should not be presented before the concept is experienced and discovered through some sort of manipulative. This page presents several mnemonics to remember the order of the steps (one shorthand, and 3 sentences). It also provides a color-coded guide of using the steps to solve a long-division problem.

This worksheet is to practice classifying numbers into the various sets in the real number system. Students must place a number in the most specialized set that it belongs to. An answer key is included.
