Differentiation Strategy: Multiplying two 2-digit Numbers The “2-for-1 Special” I have had success with this method of teaching 2-digit multiplication with several of my students. We call it the “2-for-1 Special”, where you get 2 problems for the price of 1. This method focuses on the Distribution Property side of 2-digit multiplication, splitting up the second factor into the tens and ones. You may wish to use number blocks to demonstrate this. This is just a simple worksheet for practice adding and subtracting on the number line from 0-10. There is also a 0-20 number line included for practice with larger problems. I recommend placing the pages in a sheet-protector and using a dry erase marker.
