Great fall activity! In this STEAM activity, Band students and Geometry students will collaborate to learn how transformation geometry applies to marching band. Marching bands use transformations to map out their show on the field. The coordinates that are used are similar to those that are studied in Geometry, and the football field is similar to the coordinate plane. My philosophy of teaching is to find different ways for students to learn. I believe it is important to show students that math does apply to the "real world" and that yes, indeed, math can be fun.

I enjoy trying new strategies with my students and 'trying' to keep up with them and technology in the classroom. I have also started working with my mom to create TpT resources.
