In this 2 page activity (12 problems), students will begin by plotting a given point. Next, students will move on the coordinate plane according to given instructions and plot the ending point. We used this activity as part of the lesson for that day. With this activity, students practiced locating coordinates but also understanding how to move along the coordinate plane.

As part of our TEKS, students need to apply their knowledge of fractions on a number line in order to solve word problems. I created this activity for my students to have them practice their problem solving skills, partitioning number lines equally into the indicated number of sections, then label/locate specific fractions.
