The path of totality will stretch across the United States for a once in a life time experience. This lesson will explore what an eclipse is and have students inquire about the idea of eclipses on other planets. Students will complete a close read article to introduce the content. Students will understand how the sun creates seasons. Students will use graph paper to show the sun's distance and angle during various seasons. Students will analyze how the sun's position impacts seasons.

Students will learn about physical weathering through this water erosion lab. This lab requires them to measure, graph, and write their reflections.

Practice 2 digit x 2 digit and 3 digit by 1 digit multiplication with this fun, engaging digital pixel sheet! Students will solve 20 multiplication problems. As they enter the correct answer for each equation, colored pixels will appear to create a surprise picture! If the color pixels do not appear when a student enters the answer, they will know the answer entered was incorrect and to try again! This is a great, motivating tool for practice with automatic feedback and self-checking!

This reflection sheet goes along with the picture book, "What's Faster Than a Speeding Cheetah" by Robert Wells. This book is a great tool to use to teach about speed and distance traveled over time. It can also be used as a great introduction to light! Students will use the data found in the text to create a graph. This activity is an integrated lesson; including reading, math, and science!

OLAF HAS MELTED! Students will purchase items to help Elsa and Ana build a new snowman. Students will add up their money for the things that they have purchased to find how much they spent. The students will then answer word problems based on their totals.

This student centered lab will require a toy car and measuring tape/meter stick. Students will discover how force impacts the relationship between distance and time. Students will test and record their findings in the table and answer reflection questions.

In this lab, students will discover how friction effects the speed of an object. Students will pair up. While one student runs a specified distance with their shoes, the other student will record. Students will then test their hypothesis without shoes. Students will graph their times and see how friction played a roll in their speed.
