Questions to guide your students through a reflection of the semester for the class they have with you, school overall, and life outside the classroom. For each, it asks for 3 things they want to improve on, 2 things they're proud of, and 1 end goal they have for the year. I'll be collecting these and then returning them to students at the start of the next semester as a reminder of their goals. Inspired by @msdavison_ !
Help your students be organized by consistently tracking and preparing for their personal statements and resumes. This doc is built from a compilation of sources to provide students with a breadth of topics to be able to include.
Use these examples to inspire students to develop their own One Pager system. In this doc, I also include Glows and Grows to help guide students to improving their One Pagers. Download my One Pagers How To and One Pagers Criteria for Success to further guide students in creating One Pagers.

This is a master doc for students to research universities they're interested in. It takes into consideration everything from the admissions process to alumni outlook and concludes with students reflecting on the reasons they can and cannot see themselves attending here. I attach this doc as an assignment on Google Classroom, so that each student can edit directly. I also have my students add the Doc to a folder on their Google Drive labeled "College" where they store all things college related
This is the Google Slides I use to introduce the social sciences and history to my students. It includes excerpts from historians and various levels of questions to encourage students to inquire. I print out the One Pager (linked on slide 1) for students to take notes on.
Have students keep a running list of feelings, actions, sayings, and thoughts for each historical figure and others affecting them. This will help them understand each figure on a deeper level by having them select the most significant info, provide an efficient study tool, and help them on exams by making educated guesses based on their deep understanding of historical figures. For IB History, my students complete this for each US president we study, and it’s kept in their interactive notebook

Teaching style
My goal is to teach my students what I refer to as the Tool belt of Learning. This will provide them academic, organization, and life skills they can transfer across disciplines and grade levels.
I also believe in front loading skills, so that students head into the year knowing what is ahead. I also provide them an overview of the skills from the Tool Belt of Learning that will be beneficial to them throughout the year, in other classes, and beyond.
