I created this tool to track my own students' data and progress towards their academic goals. It is entirely in PowerPoint and can be customized to include your favorite fonts and clip art. You can even change the background on the cover! I included 3 sample templates for tracking basic reading, writing, or math goals that can be edited or deleted, whatever fits your needs. What’s the Point is a number routine that exercises students’ number sense, estimation skills, and reasonability. The student(s) is presented with a closed number line with two given endpoints. On the number line, a non-labeled point is plotted. It is up to students to reason what that point may be using number sense, estimation, and reasonability and explain how/why they believe their answer to be true. I recommend printing these 3x5 flashcards on cardstock for durability, punching a hole in the corner, and adding them to a binder ring. There is a black and white option so you can print them on any color cardstock you would like! There are also colored borders for printing on white cardstock. Students can leave these flashcards at school or take them home for extra practice!
