About the Product

These teacher-facilitated notes will not only solidify students’ mastery of CCSS 5.NBT.6 but will do so in a fun way that makes students feel as though they are in a hybrid class of math and art. Even though it is super fun for a math lesson (along with our music videos, maybe the most fun, ever), Number notes do not go light on rigor and depth, and will help lead students toward mastery of 5.NBT.6.

The visual aids and geographic models in Number Notes help students to not only grasp the procedural knowledge, but also to dig deeper, shedding light on conceptual understanding.

After the students are finished with the final designs and coloring of their doodle, notes like these make a great addition to math journals, as well as looking terrific on bulletin boards - or perhaps even in a gold leaf frame atop the fireplace.
