Bringing it to Life

Students complete the projects to grow and develop their food truck idea. The suggested number of days for each project component is listed in the Preview.

At the end of the semester, have students pitch their business ideas to the class and a panel of “guest investors”. Optionally, recruit guests from the school staff or the local business community to observe their business pitches and invest imaginary funds. Each student receives $5,000 to invest in one food truck. The adult guest investors each get $25,000 to invest. Funds from the adult guest investor can be split between groups, and the food truck with the highest total investment wins extra credit on the project.

Each product comes in a zip file, labeled with the product title. Inside, you’ll find all documents for that topic in a designated folder. Because this is a bundle of individual products, a terms of use page will be included for each folder (one file per product).

While the files are formatted for Microsoft Suites™, most are easily adaptable for Google Suites™. To convert:

1. Upload the desired file to Google Drive™.
2. Open the file and select “File” → “Save as Google Docs” or “Save as Google Slides”.
3. Check formatting and make any needed adjustments.
4. Share the file with your class.

Please note: This is not a standalone curriculum, but a semester-long project designed to supplement your course. Daily lesson plans are not included. Most files are fully editable, so you can customize them for your students—exceptions include the teacher guide, free products, and sample work.

The project typically takes several weeks to complete. The Preview includes estimated time requirements for each assignment, based on 90-minute class periods.
