Description
The ”Grade 4 February Daily Math” work packet is designed for students in Grade 4. This packet is also designed for Canadian teachers as the activities are based on expectations outlined in the Ontario Mathematics curriculum.
Each Daily Math monthly packet now features approximately 20 - 24 (depending on the month) math exercise pages that contain a variety of math skill activities (approximately 5 or more per page). These pages can be used as an activation tool prior to a math lesson, at the beginning of the school day or as extra practice after a math lesson. The activities presented in this series of packets will span the various strands outlined in the Ontario Mathematics curriculum.
The skill set addressed in this packet once again involves number sense with numbers to 10,000. The following skills are addressed in the February packet:
- Comparing numbers to 10,000 using the <, >, and = symbols;
- Ordering numbers to 10,000;
- Representing money amounts given a set of coins and given a money amount;
- Adding and subtracting double-digit numbers;
- Adding and subtracting triple-digit numbers;
- Adding and subtracting four-digit numbers;
- Representing fractions given rules written in words;
- Telling time to the nearest 5 minutes;
- Creating numeric growing and shrinking patterns given a pattern rule written in words;
- Relating addition to subtraction equations;
Use these exercise pages for students who are fast finishers, at the beginning of a math lesson to activate student thinking, at the beginning of the day or send the sheets home for extra practice.

This is awesome!
These math packets are so versatile in how you can use them. I use them as part of a math rotation/centre for my students who need more of a challenge and it's worked well. Would also be great for math homework use or bellwork.
