Description

Multiplication and Division Arrays contains 100 Multiplication Array Cards and 100 Division Array Cards. (Color and Gray Scale) These cards help students make connections between the facts they are trying to learn and the concept of multiplication and division.

Each multiplication and division fact is in an array (area model) on a 10x10 grid. The 10x10 grid serves as a visual reference so that student can visually tell the dimensions of the array without counting. The grid is divided in half horizontally and vertically to help visual learners see the dimensions of each array at a glance. The array cards included are multiplication facts 1x1 through 10x10 and division facts 1÷1 through 100÷10.

Multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and multiply two two-digit numbers, using strategies based on place value and the properties of operations. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.
Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8 × 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷ 5 = 8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.
