'Multiplication Game' - The classic Multiplication Game, 'I Have... Who Has?', is an excellent way for students to practise their multiplication facts out of order.
What You Need:
1 set of 'I Have... Who Has...?' Multiplication cards
Stopwatch (optional)
Preparation:
- Print and laminate the cards so they will withstand the rigors of classroom use.
One Way to Play:
1. Distribute all the cards randomly to the students. NB Some students may receive multiple cards.

'PHONICS GAME': A Phonics Game for Practicing 'When Two Vowels Go Walking'
'PHONICS GAME' - This phonics game is ideal for practising the 'Two Vowels Go Walking' rule is an all time favourite of my reading groups. The students request it again and again. I like to play it as a warm up or cool down activity.
Preparation:
Print the cards, laminate them if possible and cut them out.
How to Play:
1. Two, three or four players sit so they are facing each other.

'Sight Word Game' - High Frequency Dolch Sight Word Game - Heaps of Fun!
Sight Word Game - Dolch List 4 in a Row - is an excellent Literacy Centre Activity. It provides a SOCIAL & ENJOYABLE way to practice the Dolch sight word lists.
Essence of the Game:
Students place counters alternately on the game board and read the Dolch sight words. The winner is the first person to get 4 of their counters to line up horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

Adrian Bruce is an award winning Australian teacher, ICT integration consultant, webmaster and edublogger. He is considered by many to be an exemplary user of ICTs in the modern classroom. He has taught all grades K through to Yr 11 and has received several awards for his innovative work integrating ICTs.
I've worked in schools all around Australia and recently ran workshops in New Zealand, Hong Kong and New York. I've also had several articles published in Australian education journals and is the webmaster of several websites dedicated to educational resources.
In his ‘spare time’ Adrian maintains a website that gives back to the Internet by making printable teaching resources available to anyone in the world with access to the site.
