Welcome to this 4th, 5th and 6th-grade fun, multi-step, critical thinking, word problem math packet. I originally designed this for my 5th-grade classroom, but most of the pages can be used for gifted or high achieving students in both 4th and 6th grade. I wrote these word problems over a number of years, and a couple of them are actually ones that students wrote. Elements of a Short Story-Planning template for Students
This outline template can be used when planning a short story. It also includes a quick activity where you can teach the elements of a short story (conflict, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution) prior to beginning the outline. The visual shows the students how a short story must include all of these elements in order to continually engage the reader. Teacher answer key included.

This list of jobs is perfect for kindergartners or older students. It features 25 common classroom chores, which you can keep as is or switch out for jobs of your choosing. Animal needs cloze for research of an animal
This is a one-page cloze designed to go with any unit on the needs of animals. It also works well as an alternate perspective approach to researching animals. Students choose an animal and complete a sentence for each of the basic needs of that animal, forming a complete page about the animal.
I created this work to go with my own unit on the needs of animals. My second grade students were very successful with it. It was also at the right level for advanced first grade students.
