This data sheet allows teachers to isolate specific skill sets that the student is working on. This sheet allows for correct and incorrect tallies, average of task mastery, and a section for behavior observation section. This sheet also allows for teachers to determine whether or not the student has reached mastery after 18 trials. Data Collection is the key component of identifying and progress monitoring lagging skills and IEP goals. The templates provided in the Data Collection in the Special Education Setting – Resource package will provide those tools for monitoring skill sets.

The Titanic Mini-Research Project is an assessment of a culmination of skillsets. The skillsets addressed by the titanic Mini-Research Project include research on a guided topic, pre-writing concepts, written composition and editing. Students will be following a written composition structure that has been pre-taught. This project is to be used an assessment of the combined skillsets. Students will be following multi-step directions to complete the assignment.

The product contains a unit plan for Essential Skills/Cross-Categorical teachers to teach the vocabulary and task of going to and functioning appropriately in the grocery store (i.e. using a list to make a recipe or plan a party). The product contains different ability level tasks to meet students needs. The product is also provided in word processor in order for teachers to modify the unit for their classroom. Shays Rebellion Argumentative Writing Assignment is a formative assessment for Social Studies teachers both on the concept of argumentative writing and of Shays Rebellion. The assignment asked students to use many resources to complete a paragraph that includes text based evidence to prove their claim. The assignment also asks student to make a connection to the media frenzy during Shays Rebellion and a modern day event.

The ReADER Format Cue Cards allow students to check back and make sure that all parts of the ReADER format have been included in their writing. This structure sets up a format for students to follow when learning how to create a solid constructed response. The cue cards can be used in all content areas to support well written constructed response answers.

The Branches of Government Review Quiz is a short review that gives students the key information about the Branches of Government. The Answer Key is included in the product as well. Teachers may use the quiz as a guide to introduce key concepts to their students. This may be used as an introductory quiz for secondary students or a final quiz for the elementary students.
