Preview of Side Splitter Theorem Partner Activity

Side Splitter Theorem Partner Activity

Students work with a partner. One partner does the problems on the left side, the other partner does the questions on the right side. The questions are different, however, the answers are the same. One both students arrive at the same answer they can move on to the next question.

Translation, Reflection, & Rotation Station Activity

This activity consists of four stations. 1. Translate a figure according to a given rule and provide a rule given a pre-image and image, and a composition of transformations 2. Reflect over diagonal, vertical, and horizontal lines 3. Rotate 90, 180, 270 degree about origin 4. Rotate 90 and 180 degrees about a point other than the origin. I gave students approximate 15 minutes in each station and had them move to the next one when the timer went off.

Perfect 10 Activity on Patterns, Conjectures, and Counterexamples

This worksheet can either be a homework assignment, partner activity, or individual activity. Students must select any combination of problems that adds up to at least 10 points.

Geometry Stations, QR Code Optional, Similarity,Ratio,Proportion in Rt Triangles

This station activity allows students to complete problems reviewing the following concepts: ratio and proportion, similarity in right triangles, proving triangles similar, geometric mean, proportions in right triangles, scale drawings, and indirect measurement. I give students about 8 minutes in each station. Students work together to solve each problem and then use their Smart Phone to scan the QR code for the correct answers. QR code reader app should be downloaded ahead of time. Also Inc

Measuring Segments, Midpoint, and Segment Addition Postulate Mini Lesson

This SmartBoard Mini lesson includes how to measure segments on a number line, the ruler postulate, examples and guided practice problems of the segment addition postulate, examples and guided practice problems given a midpoint or a segment bisector, and an exit card.
Preview of Parallel and Perpendicular Line Activity

Parallel and Perpendicular Line Activity

Students can work as partners or individually. Students must determine whether the given equations are parallel, perpendicular, the same line, or have no relationship.
Preview of Rotating a Figure About a Point Other than the Origin

Rotating a Figure About a Point Other than the Origin

This activity has students practice rotating about different points in the coordinate plane. You will have to label the vertices of the triangles with whatever letters you choose and select a point of rotation. I like to do points in each quadrant, on the axes, and at least one on the figure itself so the students can see that if the figure is on the point of rotation that that point doesn't move.

Finding Slope (graph, table) & Writing Equations of Parallel/Perpendicular Lines

Review Sheet on finding slope and writing the equations of lines.
Preview of Complementary, Supplementary, and Vertical Angles

Complementary, Supplementary, and Vertical Angles

This mini lesson includes the vocabulary of the angle relationships, visual representations of the relationships, guided practice problems in which students have to set up an equation to find x and the missing angle measures, and a figure in which they have to incoporate their knowledge of many angle concepts to find the answer.
Preview of Angles, Postulates, and Segment Addition Review

Angles, Postulates, and Segment Addition Review

This activity includes three tasks in which the students review how to name, classify, and measure angles. Draw a visual representation to illustrate each postulate, and apply the segment and angle addition postulates.
Preview of Using Midpoint and Distance in Coordinate Geometry Mini Lesson

Using Midpoint and Distance in Coordinate Geometry Mini Lesson

This SmartBoard mini lesson includes guided and independent practice problems when finding the midpoint on a line segment, the midpoint in the coordinate plane, Finding an endpoint when given a midpoint and another endpoint, distance on a coordinate plane, and distance given a ratio.
Preview of Conditionals Project on Converse, Inverse, and Contrapositive

Conditionals Project on Converse, Inverse, and Contrapositive

This is a group project. I left the conditional statement blank so the teacher can create a different statement for each group. You can tier this project by making some conditional statements more difficult than others. The students have to determine the truth value of each statement and if false, provide a counterexample. Once completed, each group can present to the class.

Ratio, Proportion, Indirect Measurement, and Scale Drawing Around the Room

For this activity, you can post the problems around the room and I sometimes include the answer on the back of the page or simply wait until the activity is over and review the answers as a whole class. You can also turn it into a white board activity and give the students a certain amount of time to answer each question and then hold up their answers.

Points, Lines, and Planes Practice Worksheet

Use this as independent practice, homework, an exit ticket, or warm up activity
Preview of Classifying, Naming & Measuring Angles and using the Angle Addition Postulate

Classifying, Naming & Measuring Angles and using the Angle Addition Postulate

This SmartBoard mini lesson includes the parts of an angle, naming an angle, classifying whether an angle is acute, obtuse, right, or straight, defines the protactor postulate, uses an interactive protractor to measure angles in two ways, and includes a guided practice problem using the angle addition postulate Note the "f" you see on one of the slides is the protractor. Once you buy the item and open the file the f will go away.
Preview of Surface Area Math Race

Surface Area Math Race

I print each page of this activity on a different color paper, Then put in a communicator. The students work with a partner or individually to race and answer the questions. Once they are finished, they run up to show me and they either have to correct it or they can move on to the next question (color paper). The kids love it and want to WIN! On question # 3, Write a script l in for the slant height for the second part of the question.

Construction of Congruent Segments and Angles

The angle is correct on the actual file, I do not know why the thumbnail is distorting my images. Partner Activity on geometric constructions.
Preview of ASA and AAS Exit Card

ASA and AAS Exit Card

Students are required to draw a diagram with the given information and prove two triangles congruent by both ASA and AAS.

Surface Area Stations Project

Please note each station is on a different sheet of paper. The TPT generated thumbnails don't do it justice! This station activity will be for four stations. You will need the following materials. A tissue box A soup can A rubix cube A toblerone bar A ruler Students follow the instruction sheet in each station and calculate both surface and lateral areas using formulas and by finding the area of each surface and calculating the sum.
