SWAT is a fun, engaging, and competitive review game designed for the following learning targets: -I can describe the graph of an equation. -I can graph an equation in slope-intercept form. -I can graph an equation in standard form. Questions include identifying slope and y-intercept, finding intercepts algebrically and graphically, and rewriting an equation in standard form to slope intercept form. This activity is an engaging way students can practice rewriting an equation in standard form to an equation in slope intercept form. This activity will take about 20-25 minutes.
This is a great activity for students to work independently or in pairs.
I love using the maze because it can be a quick way to check to see if a student is literally on the right path! If I notice a student off course, we can address the problem immediately.

This product has two different uses!
1) Students can play memory with the cards. They can flip over a standard form equation, show the work on a separate sheet of paper, and then try and flip over the match. If it's a match, that student takes both cards and gets a point. I recommend having one pile for standard forms and one pile for slope intercept forms, so students will pick a card for either pile. It's a great two person game.
2) If you need a shorter activity, students can with a partne

Bingo!!
This is a great activity for the day after students learn about finding slope from a table or graph. It's perfect for right after the introductory lecture.
Students work individually to complete twelve questions about slope. Questions include finding slope from a table or a graph. Once students have their twelve answers, they select nine of the answers for their bingo board. They can put their nine answers in any order.
Teacher will call out the correct answers in any order and award
This is a review game I use at the end of the school year before our final comprehensive exam.
Question topics include:
-Two + Multi-step equations
-Identifying slope intercept form
-Power properties
-Scientific Notation
-Linear or Non Linear pictures and tables
-Square roots + cubed roots
-Evaluating expressions with square roots
-Solutions to systems
-Functions
These are handwritten questions. The answers to the questions are at the bottom right corner of each page.
Rules of Bazinga!:
It's scavenger hunt time!
This is a great activity that can be a done individually or with partners.
Students will walk around the room (or hallway) solving problems. This activity gets students up and moving and discussing in small groups!
Directions:
1) Students need an answer form. On a blank sheet of paper, students should make a column called Beginning Letter, another called Work, the next Answer, and lastly Ending Letter. (Similar to the key.)
2) Assign each student a beginning lette
This is my favorite project of the year!
Students get a chance to make a connection between math and their personal interests! In the preview, you will see the directions and rubric for the project.
I've had amazing results with this project. Some projects included:
-making a Minecraft world, a commercial, a rap, a lego structure, a Hot Wheels ramp, etc.
The rubric included is a great addition, so students know how they will be graded on the project.
**Blackout board not shown in preview, but the key and board is included.**
In this activity...
-Students work in pairs
-Students are active
-Students practice domain, range, and evaluating functions.
Includes...
-Blackout board for students
-Key
-25 Blackout card problems (fit for 5x7 cards. Can cut out and paste on notecards.)
Directions...
-Place blackout cards in the room, so students only see the problem number (not the problem)
-Students find one card to solve. Once they solve the probl
Quiet Students? Engagement? Curiosity? Competition?
This is a fantastic whole class activity involving the above four categories. During the silent board game, students will be given certain inputs of a function, and then they have to guess the outputs and the rule of the function. Points will be awarded to either the teacher or the class. Included are five rounds of linear patterns and two rounds of non-linear patterns.
It's so exciting to see students silent yet engaged and even on the edge
Looking for a small group activity where each member has a specific role and students have to discuss and reason their work in order to get the right answer? Look no further.
This activity is designed for groups of four (but can easily be used with three or two people). Each student solves one of the questions. Once the group has all four answers, they sum the answers. The teacher checks to see if the sum is correct, and if it is, they move on to the next four corner sum. If not, students reas
These point cards go with the Bazinga! Review Game in my store but can be used for a variety of class activities.
--------
There are 38 point cards including cards such as: add six to your team, subtract two points from a team of your choice, person reading the card has to stand on their chair, person reading the card has to switch teams, and two bazinga! cards.
Since there are two bazinga cards, we play the first bazinga card means you double your score, and the second card means your score
This is an awesome activity that gets the students moving and talking about math!
Separate the cards into two piles: the number pile (questions) and the letter pile (answers).
Students will grab a card from the question pile, simplify the answer, and then find the corresponding answer in the other pile.
They can check the answer with you, and then they can write their letter-number combo on the word puzzle.
The final quote is: "The results you achieve will be in direct proportion to the e
Quick and easy review or practice for solving and graphing inequalities.
Set of 24 cards.
One student will start, and share their "I have" inequality. They will then ask "who has" their graph inequality. The person that has the match will stand up and link next to the first student and continue the process until a giant circle forms!
Gets kids up and moving, thinking about math, and listening to each other!
Four small jigsaw puzzles - all the pieces are the same size, so students need to find how to put the four squares back together.
Includes:
-evaluating expressions with square roots
-answers with positive and negative solutions
-perfect square roots
-square roots of fractions
*Tip of the Trade: Use different colors for puzzles, so if a student drops one, you know who it belongs to!*
I use this for my intervention class - it's a great formative assessment!
This is a fun, team-based game reviewing functions. It can be used as an in class activity or as a review game before the test.
Topics covered:
-Functions
-Domain & Range
-Discrete & Continuous
-Writing a rule
-Story problems based on functions
How Ten Ball Works:
-Split class into teams of 2-4 people
-Each team needs a mini-whiteboard or a piece of paper for their answers
-Every team starts off with 10 lives. I put 10 X's on the board representing their lives in the game.

This game covers the following learning targets:
Students will...
write an equation from a given line in slope intercept form.
find slope given two coordinates.
write an equation that passes through the given coordinates.
write an equation with a given slope and coordinate.
Grudge Ball is a fun and competitive team activity. Students will divide into teams. Each team starts with ten lives. Every round, there is a reward for getting the question right such as take a life away or add a life to
Students will work to stack up their questions and answers from START to FINISH.
This is a great activity because students will have to find the matching card, and then stack the answer on top. Every one they get right means one less card remaining. They know they are done when they see the word FINISH at the top of their stack. If they have leftover cards, they know they made a mistake! Students can truly assess themselves!
There are a total of 12 cards.
