This PPT allows the teacher to teach places in the town in two stages, there is practice and recognition of masculine and feminine definite articles, asking "is there a ... near here?" plus some practice, directions simple and more complicated including a+el > > al use. The PPT moves on to using ¿por dónde se va a....? and also ¿dónde está...? plus practice dialogues for these using directions like - second on the left, third on the right etc.

They decide who they are what their names are, there are various correct answers but the students need to recognise the correct family members to be able to match them.
I print the photos onto A3 and then the other sheet, I either allow them to copy or cut and stick, depending on age range and ability.

Students need to identify the vocabulary to do with family and then think about to whom they refer:
e.g. the father of my father is my ......?
The students then need to practise possessive adjectives - my, your (singular) and his/her.

I have these laminated in A3 size around my classroom to help with flipped learning and making the students more independent learners and users of language. They are there so all year groups can use them, so it is nice to see some of my year 7 students using some of the higher level phrases in their work.

Grab this fantastic ppt that I made for my 1st years to teach them some cultural knowledge about foods in Spain. It teaches simple foods and drinks, with a number of activities including; what is missing and match up activities. Sample dialogues which have been pulled apart.
This is the same format as the word and Task Magic file but here the students fill it in in crossword format. Some students prefer this style of puzzle!

Five gapped information sheets and one teacher's sheet. Students have to use simple introduction questions to fill the information that is missing about each person. There are five versions so that they do not just work with their partner but they can go around the class and ask the information (although this could be adapted for just partners).
