Before I do this activity, I make sure to model how to work cooperatively in groups together. As a class we model various situations of what it looks and hears like to respect other students and so forth. 1. Divide students into groups of 5 2. Number each student from 1 to 5. 3. Give all #1's the page that has a "(1)" on it. 4. Do this for #2-5. 5. Have students read their page and record any information that they think is important or interesting. 6. X-EleMENts Superhero Chemistry Project - 2019 NEW!

I firstly just want to say that this is one of my favourite projects to do with students, and it has been one of my most popular items on TPT! I created a new version of the popular project (see 2018 version if you wish) to make it more specific, but also more accessible for my diverse learners! I find that this is a project that all students can find success in, which is the number one reason why I love it so much. This project allows students to dive deeper into the characteristics of living things, and the functions of the organelles of plant and animal cells. It also provides students with a creative outlet and choice. To start, students will create stats for their very own villain by deciding the characteristics of their living thing (their villain). To give buyers the choice in which one they prefer, I thought I would bundle them together. They are regularly each $3, but together they will be $4!
