This project has both a paper and Google Slides digital version! Students will be meteorologists and track the weather for one week (Monday-Friday). Students will complete field notes of the weather each day in a journal of their choice. They will discuss the types of clouds they see each day and make predictions for the future based off the clouds they see. They will record the low and high temperature for the day, and plot the low temperature line plot and high temperature line plot throughout

This set of task cards practices determining the mean, median, mode, and range of a set of data. You can fold these task cards and place them in plastic eggs around your room for an egg hunt! There are QR codes you can put up for each question that allows students to check their answers on their own. Set of 12 Task Cards
Two activities are included in this file. The first activity has students measure bags of candy hearts to determine their mass. They will use the data found from the bags to create a stem-and leaf plot and then answer questions analyzing their data. In the second activity, students are counting how many conversation hearts are in each of the 10 bags. Then taking their data and determine the mean, median, mode, and range of the data set. For each activity, I make bags resulting in the data I wan

This activity has students collecting data to create a stem-and-leaf plot. They will analyze their data and determine the mean, median, mode, and range of the data set as well. For this activity I use plastic laundry bins and blow up basketballs. Students will get with a partner to collect data. Each partner has 1 minute to shoot as many baskets as they can. Each partner totals their baskets to determine one data point for the class data set!

This is a PBA (project based assessment) where students are creating a care package to send to soldiers overseas. The students have a $100 budget to spend on their package and must stay under that amount in the end. They must choose a box, five nonperishable items, five food items, and a shipping rate. Each box holds a different weight, so students must convert metric units to determine what box is needed for all ten of their items to fit! This could be one of your math stations for students to
