Experience

Over my career, I have had the pleasure of working with students in underserved, urban high schools. I have taught Language Arts at all high school grade levels, I spent three years teaching Drama, and I spent three years incorporating mindfulness into my English classroom.

Teaching style

The students I teach need plenty of scaffolding and lessons that focus on the standards without a lot of extra fluff, so you will see a lot of that in my products. Ideally, I follow the "I do it, we do it, you do it" model. I try to have fun with my lessons, but I'm still trying to figure out how to make writing an essay as entertaining as Snapchat.
