Preview of Lateral and Total Surface Area of Prisms (Rectangular, Triangular, and Cylinder)

Lateral and Total Surface Area of Prisms (Rectangular, Triangular, and Cylinder)

Created by
The Math Huddle
Students are guided through this process of finding lateral and total surface area by breaking down the formulas and finding P, h, and B before plugging the values into the formulas. For cylinders, they will do the same thing but will be finding the radius, diameter, circumference, and area of the base. This worksheet is great for extra practice, tutorials, or when a class needs the process broken down and organized for them.

You all work on the first questions in a row together. After the students have been reminded of a concept, they have only a few minutes to work on two similar problems on their own. After the time is up, the whole class checks those questions and you move on to the next row/concept. This is a well rounded review that will challenge students to app
