With this lab activity, students will first use the Power Point to start their 'lab write-up'. When the written portion of their lab is complete, they will break into separate groups, and move around the room in stations to test and observe different substances chemically react and change into new substances. Special demonstrations done by the teacher are suggested and links for directions for these demonstrations are within the PowerPoint. The Power Point and write-up encourages students to bet

With this lab activity, students will first use the Power Point to start their 'lab write-up'. When the written portion of their lab is complete, they will break into pairs or individually, build their spool racer and observe how the device works (kinetic and potential energy) while measuring and recording distance and time to calculate speed. The Power Point and write-up encourages students to better understand the scientific method and prepare for future grade levels in which writing up a lab

This lab will help students to better understand the scale of the solar system. Many students have the misconception that the planets are the same distance from one another! They're not! This lab also shows students just how small the Sun could appear to be from another planet's perspective. With this lab activity, students will first use the Power Point to start their 'lab write-up'. When the written portion of their lab is complete, they will break into separate groups, and move into the hallw

Experience

A TPT Seller since 2012 - my resources are supplemental. Find what you need and make it a part of your curriculum. 16 years experience (on my 17th!) as a Junior High School Science Teacher; I have also taught 6th - 8th Grade Level Mathematics during Summer School for a few years.

Teaching style

Facilitator/Demonstrator! I try my best to adapt to the needs of the students to fulfill the needs of their education. All of what you see in my store is something that I made on my own! The powerpoints, the worksheets, quizzes... some are modeled after what I learned from workshops... but all of it was made on my own computer. I take pride in what I make! If you like it, then please, give me your opinion and rating! I like to know that I'm helping other teachers out! :-)
