Graphing Project Rubric- Common Core Aligned
This rubric may be used to grade a student graphing project. Students select a topic, survey the class, make a tally chart, and create a bar graph to show their data.

This document provides QR codes that link to videos, resources, and games in alignment with Unit 6 of Everyday Math Grade 4 Common Core, but it can be used to support any math curriculum. This word document can be edited to revise as necessary for use in your own classroom.

QR Code Multiplication Review
Make learning fun using QR Codes. This meets 4th grade CC 4.NBT.5. Two digits time 1 digit. QR codes show answer using the distributive property.

Fact Family template with color coded prompting
If your students cannot remember where to put the numerals for their fact families, try this color coded version. I put mine in page protectors so they could use dry erase markers and use them over and over again.

Solving for the Unknown QR Code Race
Students will solve for the unknown using addition and subtraction. They will then scan the QR code to see if they are correct. Based on their answer, they will move their game piece. Directions for the game are included, but buyer will need to find a blank game board to use.

This is a simple, addition worksheet to review the Commutative Property of Addition. Students use a code to color the cubes and then write two addition sentences.

Long Divison (House Method)
This is a resource that can be used to help kids learn how to divide using long division or house method. The resource is color coded to show students where to place their numbers in each step and arrows to show where to bring down their number. This resource can be used to divide a 1, 2, or 3 digit number by a 1 digit number with the possibility of a remainder as part of the answer.

Crayon Addition Open Ended Problem
This is a performance task in which students solve an open ended addition problem to find 3 digit equations that add up to 12. Included is a rubric for scoring the performance task as well as a modified version of the task for ESE/Modified Standards students.

Order of Operations mini-project
Mini-project where students are given the task to come up with an original mnemonic to remember the order of operations. The document describes the task and includes a rubric that can be modified.

Addition Fluency Data Tracker Pyramid
This is a pyramid of addition facts that I use to build addition fluency. When my kids pass their time-test, they get to color in that row. Then, they put their "code name" (that they create!) on the top and after each math class, I re-stack the pyramid to see who has the most fluency mastered. Works great for a data wall and to encourage kids to master their fluency!

Pizza Project
Students will create a pizza with toppings that will cover certain fractions of the pizza. You will need to provide the toppings to your students, but feel free to use the directions/rubric sheet.

When my high-achieving students compact out of place value and the 4.NBT standards, I use this Jeopardy game project to challenge them. This EDITABLE page includes directions, expectations, vocabulary, and a rubric. *NOTE: this does not come with the Jeopardy PPT template. Candyland Mathified Game Template
This game includes 24 editable game cards and is patterned after the Hasbro Candy Land Game. It is a game for 2-4 players in which the object is to move along the color-coded path by answering math questions until you reach "finish." The first person to get to finish is declared the winner.

Multiplication Fact Tracking Sheet
This sheet can be used to track mastery of basic multiplication facts for students just learning multiplication facts or in need of intervention. For students with IEPs that focus on fact mastery, this sheet can be used as a data point when evaluating progress towards IEP goals.
This sheet can be used a variety of ways--- record correct vs. incorrect responses, color code cells based on accuracy (green - correct, yellow - incorrect, red - no response, etc), and more.

Multiplication Fluency Student Tracking Sheet
This is a tracking sheet created for students to track their own progress in multiplication fluency. Students can color in the boxes of skills they have mastered and there is room for them to write the date of mastery. I have created it as two pages on one sheet to save paper.
