Experience

I have taught kindergarten and first grade for 3 years now and loving it!!!!!!! My first graders are high achieving first graders, thus I sometimes have to tap into the 2nd grade curriculum to challenge them.

Teaching style

I would describe my teaching style as energetic and young-at-heart. My motto is if you are having fun then they are having fun. My goal in teaching is to create life-long learners by intertwining all subjects together, rather than making good readers or mathematicians.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Both degrees received with magna cum laude status.

My own education history

I received my bachelors in Special Education from the University of Florida and I received my masters in Early Childhood Education from the University of Florida.

Additional biographical information

My favorite children's book author is Mo Willems. In my spare time, I love to read books, shop, watch movies, go to DIsney, watch the Gators play, and paint.
