Most students today may not understand the impact that 9/11 had on the tourism industry. In my HTM class (hospitality and tourism management), we discuss the different areas of the tourism industry and how current events, such as 9/11 can impact different industries. This waiver is for parents about the new technologies such as voice-controlled intelligent devices. This includes the Amazon Echo "Alexa," Google Home, etc. Some school districts believe it is a risk to have such a device in the classroom.
