About the store
LanguagePlan-it was founded by veteran teachers and administrators whose mission is to close the Foreign Language achievement gap between the US and nations around the world. FL instruction increases all aspects of student learning and achievement, most notably literacy, cultural understanding, circumlocution, decoding and mathematics, and problem solving skills. Through our use of Common Core Standards, differentiation, authentic activities, formative assessments, teacher reflections, and enhanced parent communication systems, we help teachers provide measurable growth and improvement in student achievement. Our unique program provides teachers with a clearly articulated curriculum that is based on authentic situations and contexts which make learning meaningful and readily applicable. Unlike textbooks which merely provide activities, LanguagePlan-it provides complete lesson plans and materials with the essential elements of effective instruction and deliberate learning objectives built into each lesson. The curriculum is topically based, allowing schools the choice to incorporate lessons into any existing program or to seamlessly adopt the LanguagePlan-it curriculum. This rigorous, student-centered approach has earned recognition from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages and the Center for Applied Linguistics. The LanguagePlan-it program can be used to improve student learning outcomes for distance learners, students on home instruction, independent learners, tutors, substitute teachers and paperless classrooms. LanguagePlan-it formulates mastery-level lesson plans and assessments so that all students are able to receive a language learning experience with common goals, activities and assessments across teachers and languages. LanguagePlan-it is easy to use, cost effective, and is an immediate means of response and intervention to aid developing teachers, developing curriculum, differentiation, enrichment, Common Core Standards and skills, common assessments and data analysis, parent communication, incorporation of elements of effective instruction and loss of instructional time.
