If you teach third grade math, this is jam-packed with everything you need to teach multiplication and cover the Common Core standards! This set was designed so you would have a complete unit. The presentation is so easy to follow that a substitute could even teach new content if you were unexpectedly absent!

There are six main topics for this Multiplication unit! (See notes below)

*Representing Multiplication (skip counting, repeated addition, array, grouping)

*Facts: 0s, 1s, 2s, 5s (covers patterns in multiplication)

*Facts: 3s, 9s, 6s (covers patterns in multiplication)

*Facts: 4s, 8s, 7s (covers patterns in multiplication)

*Multiplying by Multiples of 10

*Multiplication Properties (commutative, associative, distributive, identity)

Extra Practice for Multiplication Facts:

*I have included extra practice for each of the facts as well as mixed facts as you go, and cumulative facts that follow the lessons. There are also games and activities that help reinforce their memorization of facts.

* - Please note that the standards for mixed operations in word problems is touched on here, but we will dive deeper into this in the next unit once they learn division!

*- Please note the algebra standard for solving for an unknown will be introduced with division as they can use division to help them solve for the variable.

♦Vocabulary cards for your room covering: multiplication, operation, array, repeated addition, skip counting, grouping, factors, product, commutative property (of multiplication), associative property (of multiplication), distributive property, and identity property (of multiplication).
